Recicladores of Avenida Molina Mora - Poetry and Short Stories Originating in the Andes

An Andes Sunset

Pure poetry! A friend of mine,

Magdalena Herreshoff

just designed her first blog.

She's a poet and writer residing in Ecuador and her work often reflects her experiences of living in the Andes.

What a creative way to spend one's retirement. Take a look -- http://highintheandes.wordpress.com/

You've mentioned using retirement to write, but I've found another niche-helping others publish their work in Apple's iBookstore.

Most recently it's been reconnecting with 35 year olds, sixth graders from my class of '88, and getting their book up. In putting together the Mandarin, Spanish, Indonesian, and English translations we included American Sign Language done by a deaf student in my last sixth grade class, '09. The book is a fine piece, but it was the reconnecting over decades that made the experience so special.

Susan, I'd be happy to send you a free promo code for Alistair the Armadillo if you'd be so kind as to review it. It's a cute piece with a meaningful story. All the best to you.

    It's my retirement niche. :-)

PS My son began his international teaching career in Ecuador, so it holds a special place in my heart as well.
